Looking to plan an outdoor adventure? Do you enjoy hiking, water & incredible views? If so, I have the perfect Page, Arizona itinerary just for you! Look no further for a full blown outline of what to do each day, what to expect, what to pack, where to stay & photos to envision what your trip will look like.
Day 1 - Antelope Canyon
Rent kayaks to paddle into lower antelope canyon for the day. Enjoy breathtaking views on lake Powell as you paddle through slot canyons on the water. Then, pull the kayaks up to the land and hike on foot through the beautiful orange slots. It is so surreal seeing desktop screensavers in person all around you! You may have also heard of upper antelope canyon - we chose to do lower because it didn’t require a tour guide & allowed us to choose how and where we wanted to spend our time. We ended up stopping on the hike for lunch and sat on a beautiful sunny rock and just chatted it up with each other. We enjoyed that the lowers weren't as busy as the uppers can be with large groups. This option was significantly cheaper as well, if you are looking for a budget friendly trip.
Time: Allow a full day for this, pickup the kayaks at the earliest time available (9AM) to allow for leisurely paddling & longer hike time before return at 5 PM
What to pack: Water shoes that can get wet & hike in, Bluetooth speaker, water bottle, light jacket (it can get chilly in the shade), clothes that dry easily (water may splash while paddling or get in your kayak due to wavy waters), a bag or small backpack to take valuables from the kayak with you for the hike, & a sack lunch like the old school days
Cost: I Highly recommend double kayaks to have help paddling. We rented from Lake Powell Paddleboards & Kayaks. The double kayak rentals are $70 & the single kayaks are $55.

Day 2 - Lake Powell
Rent a boat to explore lake Powell for the day! We met the owner of the boat at the ramp & he was super helpful in explaining the lake, watch outs & nuances of the wake surfing boat. We spent the full day wake surfing and tubing and it was a BLAST! We played our music loud on the speakers & we soaked up the fun in the sun. It was really fun getting to learn new sports, laugh at each other's wipeouts and cheer when we were successful! The water temp was super ideal when we went the first weekend in October as well.
Time: the longer you have on the water, the better. Especially with water levels being so low right now, it takes more time to get to the other side of the lake which has stunning views. We didn’t end up going over there because our group really enjoyed the sports and we were having too much fun to stop :) If we had more time though, we would go next time.
What to pack: swimsuits, towels, sunglasses, sunscreen, water, cooler
Cost: We rented a fancy wake surfing boat from Surf Lake Powell. There are tons of boat rental companies with various style boats depending on what you are looking for. You can find cheaper options such as a pontoon if you are just looking for a chill day on the water. We had a young sporty crew & wanted to splurge on a boat that we could play on all day and this was a perfect boat for that. Ours was from 9 AM - 5 PM for a 2020 Axis T23 Surf Boat which included 2 surf boards, ropes, tube, delivery, pickup & gas for $1,333 holding up to 13 people. I have also heard great things about renting a house boat on the water and jet skiis as well. I hope to go back and do both!

Day 3 - Horseshoe Bend
This is one of those views you see and think to yourself 'wow wouldn’t that be incredible to see in person one day?' You could sit here for hours, have a picnic, enjoy a beer, and just relax and take it all on. It is only a short quarter mile walk from the parking lot to the views. It was a perfect adventure for us to do after breakfast at the air bnb, packing up to check out, & then catching this on our way out of town.
Time: Allow at least an hour for the leisurely walk and some photos, but you could be here for as long as you would like to.
What to pack: Water, comfortable tennis shoes for walking, picnic items if you want to do that & a good camera
Cost: You pay parking per vehicle here since it is on Indian reservation land. The national park pass is good for a week and it is $30.

Where to stay?
We stayed at a cute and cozy air bnb right in the center of town. It was super convenient to get to all 3 of our day destinations, as well as around the corner from coffee shops & grocery stores. The host was quick to respond, & she stocked up the house with tons of extra towels, bedding, laundry detergent, condiments, etc. We spent the evenings cooking dinner together in the kitchen, enjoying the spacious backyard for cornhole & playing games.
Cost: a 3 night stay for 8 of us was $866, so $108 a person
Details: 4 Bedroom, 2 Bath, large kitchen, dining table, 2 living rooms, outdoor entertainment space & grill. Sleeps up 9 guests.

Group Meal Ideas
It can be stressful coming up with what the group is going to eat so here is my template for food for a group of 8. I placed an online grocery pickup order to pickup when we arrived to page. Additionally, we pre-baked some items for ease. Day 1: Dinner: We arrived in the evening & brought a pre-made lasagna to heat up in the oven, paired with garlic bread Day 2: Bfast: We pre-made a breakfast casserole that we heated up in the morning to eat. We also bought cold brew & creamer at the store & fruit. Lunch: Pack a lunch to enjoy sitting on a rock in the slot canyons - we did wraps, chips, granola bars, bananas, etc. Dinner: Burgers & brauts on the grill, side of fries, pasta salad, asparagus, fruit, dip, etc. Day 3: Bfast: We pre-made pumpkin bread & bought waffles at the store Lunch: We packed the cooler with sandwich fixins, hummus, fruit, chips, etc. Don’t forget some drinks & water as well Dinner: Taco night - ground turkey, beans, rice, shells, tortillas, salsa, chips, guac, lettuce, tomato, cheese, etc. Day 4: Bfast: We bought to-go microwaveable jimmy dean breakfast sandwiches at the store which were a hit and super convenient for early on the move mornings
